Overture PLA offers better strength and stiffness than PETG and is generally easier to print. Additionally, it comes in a wider variety of colors and variants, allowing for more creative flexibility in your projects.
Overture PLA is made from renewable resources but is not suitable for home composting. It requires industrial composting conditions to degrade effectively.
Overture PLA is made from biodegradable plant-based materials, primarily derived from renewable resources such as corn starch. While these materials are generally considered safe, it is important to note that Overture PLA is not certified for food contact. Although the raw materials might be food-grade, there is no guarantee against contamination during the printing process. For food applications, it is recommended to use certified food-safe materials or coatings for added safety.
The total length of a color change cycle is approximately 60 meters. A 1 kg roll contains about 5.5 color change cycles, featuring five distinct colors: red, orange, green, blue, and purple. In one cycle, the lengths of each color are roughly as follows: red (8-9m), orange (10-12m), green (3-4m), blue (8-9m), and purple (5-6m).
For small print pieces, the gradient effect may not be very noticeable. To enhance the gradient effect, you can increase the material consumption in your slicer settings.
