Overture Matte PLA is made from renewable resources but is not suitable for home composting. It requires industrial composting conditions to degrade effectively.
Matte PLA contains added inorganic particles that give it a matte finish and help reduce adhesion to supports, making them easier to remove. However, keep in mind that Matte PLA, including Matte PLA-based Carbon Fiber PLA, has lower strength and layer adhesion than standard PLA.
The total length of a color change cycle is about 37 meters. A 1 kg roll has around 9 color change cycles, featuring four colors: blue, green, yellow, and purple. Each color in a cycle is approximately 6-7 meters long.

While it has slightly better Charpy Impact Strength than standard PLA, its bending strength and layer adhesion are noticeably weaker. Therefore, PLA-CF is not suitable for engineering applications. If you're looking for carbon fiber texture or a matte black finish, then PLA-CF would be the better choice.
