  • Exceptional Heat Resistance & Durability

OVERTURE ABS filament is engineered for high-performance applications. With superior thermal stability (heat deflection up to 98°C) and outstanding impact strength, it is the ideal choice for functional parts that must withstand high-temperature environments, mechanical stress, and long-term use.

  • Professional Glossy Finish

Achieve a sleek, polished look with the signature glossy surface of OVERTURE ABS. Prints feature smooth surfaces and a refined sheen — perfect for industrial prototypes, enclosures, automotive components, and aesthetic display pieces that demand both durability and appearance.

  • Precision Dimensional Accuracy

Utilizing an advanced CCD diameter measuring system and closed-loop adaptive manufacturing controls, every spool maintains strict tolerances of ±0.02mm on 1.75mm filament. Consistent extrusion, reliable layer adhesion, and repeatable professional-grade results.

  • Excellent Post-Processing Compatibility

ABS can be sanded, drilled, painted, and acetone-smoothed to achieve near-injection-molded surface finishes. The material of choice for makers who demand professional results from functional prototypes, mechanical housings, and engineering parts.

  • Reliable Support & Quality Guarantee

Every OVERTURE ABS spool is vacuum-sealed with desiccant for optimal moisture protection. Backed by dedicated technical support and Overture's quality guarantee. Recommended settings: nozzle 230–250°C, heated bed 90–110°C, enclosed chamber recommended.

FAQ

For outdoor prints, which one would be best to print, ABS/ASA/PETG?
For outdoor prints where longevity and durability against UV exposure and weather conditions are critical, ASA is generally the best choice due to its excellent UV resistance and overall durability.PETG is also a very strong option and is easier to print compared to both ABS and ASA, making it a popular choice for various outdoor applications where slight flexibility is acceptable. That said, if high UV stability is required for long-term exposure, ASA is preferred.ABS can be used for outdoor prints, but its notable disadvantages regarding UV resistance make it less suitable for prolonged outdoor use compared to ASA and PETG.
How does Overture ABS perform in terms of heat resistance?
Overture ABS demonstrates excellent heat resistance, featuring a Vicat Softening Temperature of 103.4°C, as measured according to ISO 306 and GB/T 1633 standards. This makes it suitable for applications where exposure to elevated temperatures is a concern. For reference, the Vicat Softening Temperatures of other engineering filaments are as follows: PETG 85.1°C ASA 106.2°C PC Professional 110.3°C Easy Nylon 181.2°C
Does ABS have an odor when printed?
Yes, ABS may emit fumes during the 3D printing process that some people might find slightly unpleasant. To create a pleasant printing environment, it’s a good idea to print in a well-ventilated space, such as by opening a window or door, while keeping the printer's door closed.
Does ABS need to be dried before print?
Yes, ABS is sensitive to moisture,so we recommend drying ABS under 75°C(167°F) for 7 hours. Avoid extended drying times, as this can lead to the filament becoming brittle and unsuitable for printing. For storage, keep it in a sealed container with desiccants to maintain low humidity levels.
