FAQ
How Is This PLA+ Different from Regular PLA?
OVERTURE PLA+ offers upgrades in print stability, layer adhesion, surface finish, and structural strength. It is not designed to maximize just one single feature; instead, it improves the overall printing experience, making one spool suitable for more real-world printing scenarios.
Is PLA+ Harder to Print Than Regular PLA?
No. This PLA+ is compatible with the PLA/PLA HS presets in mainstream slicing software. It has a wider printing window and makes first-layer success easier. You can start with your everyday PLA settings without needing many adjustments.
What Printing Temperature and Speed Do You Recommend?
We recommend a nozzle temperature of 200–220°C and a bed temperature of 50–60°C. For speed, it supports high-speed printing up to 300 mm/s, but we recommend starting at a standard speed first, then increasing the speed once you are familiar with the material.
Which Printers Is It Compatible with?
It is compatible with mainstream 1.75 mm FDM printers, including Bambu Lab, Creality, Prusa, Elegoo, Anycubic, and more. It also runs reliably on high-speed printers.
Does It Need to Be Dried Before Printing?
It is ready to use right out of the package. However, if it has been opened for a long time or stored in a humid environment, we recommend drying it at 55°C for 4 hours for more consistent results.
What Is PLA+ Suitable for Printing?
It is suitable for four main types of prints: decorative models, such as dragons, statues, and gift models; everyday functional parts, such as brackets, storage accessories, and hooks; prototypes, such as housings and test parts; and cosplay props, such as armor and weapon parts.
